In 1991, PAN CENTURY OLEOCHEMICALS SDN BHD was established to cater to the growing demand for fine vegetable-based biodegradable oleo-chemicals.
Manufacturing of Soap Noodle is the latest addition to its chain, including toilet and laundry noodle, covering a full range of quality products with a capacity of more than 55,000 tons per annum.
The Plant has been designed with the latest and renowned technology from BADGER ENGINEERS INC., USA. The main plant and machinery has been supplied by EXTRACTION DE SMET. S.A., BELGIUM, the Hydrogenation plant by BUSS A.G. SWITZERLAND and other ancillary and utility equipment by leading manufacturers in the field.

The logistics provided include Tank Farms of 80,000 tons capacity including stainless steel and epoxy coated mild steel tanks, 50% of which are located inside the factory premises, and 50% at FJB with agitators for product uniformity. |

A well-organised dispatch bay is also available for dispatches in road tankers, ISO tanks and drums for USP grade high purity glycerine, distilled fatty acids and other oil products. |

For products sold in the free flowing flaked form, a comprehensive flaking and bagging plant complete with warehousing facilities has been provided. Products in bead from can also be supplied. |

Soap noodles are packed either in 25kg nett p.p. lined paper bags or 750 kg net jumbo bags.
A pilot plant for soap finishing is also available where soap formulation, stability and fragrance retention on finished soaps are studied to serve the customer better. |
Raw Materials
The basic raw materials used for the manufacture of fatty acids are Palm and Palm Kernel based oils, for which Malaysia is one of the biggest producers in the world. Pan-Century, with its long association with palm plantations and crushing units, has easy and ready access to a regular supply of fresh and quality raw materials. Palm Oils and Palm Stearine are available to Pan Century Oleochemicals directly by pipeline from Pan Century Edible Oils. |
